Our Purpose

We are an Acts 29 missional church that takes the great commission seriosly, to "go and make disciples of ALL men."  Jesus said that it is not the healty who need a doctor, but the sick.  The purpose of our ministry is to provide recovery and training to men who have become victims to life’s challenges, through the provision of transitional housing, jobs, and comprehensive educational and support services.   We believe that a need exists to reach "at risk" men, women and youth in our communities, whose lives have been shattered because of addictions, abuses and/or bad choices, and to help them to become successful, productive members of our society.  Our goal is not only to provide restoration and recovery, but to help each individual transition back into life. Upon completion of the program, it is our goal to have everyone a job, reliable transportation and a home to begin his or her new life.

What we do

We provide an intense discipleship program to members of our congregation.  Our program begins with an intervention, by confronting the individual with his dysfunction and its impact on their life. By principles of accountability and spirituality, they are introduced to mentors who help to redirect their lives physically, mentally and spiritually by providing an atmosphere of discipline, using Christ-centered principles and support.  Each day begins with bible study and prayer.  As a faith-based nonprofit organization, we desire to see recovery and restoration through Jesus Christ, which is the purpose for the Church.

We currently have housing available for men only.  Our men housing will also be available to men who have been the victims of crime or abuse.  This will give them a safe haven and a place of recovery as well as a place to mentor and support them.  In addition to housing, they will be provided a job program where they are supervised and taught biblical work ethics and skills.  Upon completion of the program, graduates are helped to find stability through work and in Christ.

How can you help?

You can serve this ministry in no greater way than through prayer.  We covet your prayers as we teach and mentor these individuals to become Beacons of Grace.  Financially, if you would like to make a donation to this ministry you can help support this cause and become a Beacon of Grace.

Perhaps the greatest need, besides prayer, is the need of jobs for them to do while working through this program.  These jobs can range from yard work, to house cleaning, to demolitions, to clearing land of trees and underbrush, to construction or yard cleanups or any other jobs that need to be done.

We also are in need of volunteers ranging from making phone calls, mailing letters mentors, teaching and/or tutoring.

The day has come when the cycle of life depraving strongholds must end. It is not enough to simply educate people of their failures and/or poor choices, but to teach them how to get free and stay free for the rest of their lives. It is our goal that at end of this program everyone will gain their independence through restoration to be completely free from the problems that lead them to this point in their lives.

We are commanded to be beacons of light by extending God’s Grace to all people. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me’….The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'” Matthew 25:31-45.
